Every time I or my husband utter “We homeschool our son”, we immediately get reverted back to a question “Why is it so?” Mostly, the reasoning we provide let other parents agree with us and thus they also try to head towards this unique and amazing concept.
Actually, this is the reason why I thought of coming up with this article. If we and our friends both are finding homeschooling our children a wonderful and scientifically appealing conception, why not share it with you even?
If you are having a toddler at your home and is planning to put him or her in the kindergarten soon, just hold on, read the facts mentioned below, and then take the final decision!
So, why parents like me have chosen to homeschool their children?
Believe me, there are excellent reasons behind!
Curriculum can be More Child-Friendly:
Well, who can know your kids better than you? None… Right? You know his needs, lifestyle, likes, dislikes, and so on. Therefore, when you are arranging a homeschool for him, you are ensuring that your little one bears an ambiance just like how he wants it to be.
You can include the smart facts like visual learning, hands-on exploration etc. as per what you think is better for your little monster. With homeschooling, you can personalize education for your kid in the best possible way!
Great Concentration Level of Kids:
In a homeschool, you are teaching your kid or sometimes two of your children. So, there is no chance of any other kid being around. The lesser the student strength during teaching, the fastest learning happens. Obviously, your kid will not get diverted towards anything and all that he will do is just listening to you. I’ve found that the day’s worth of learning takes place only in 3 hours through homeschooling. Thus, the rest of the time I allow my kid to play around and enjoy!
Learning is Way More Interactive:
When it comes to children, they usually get nervous when there are many unknown people sitting around them. Exactly, this is what happens in the school. Most of the kids hesitate to raise up their hands and ask a question to the teacher in a class. On the other hand, the scenario is absolutely opposite in homeschooling. Your kid is certainly comfortable with you. So, he will ask you anything he wants without any second thought. This spruces up the communicative skills of children and they understand things in a better way.
A Great Connection of Parents to Kid’s Education:
Nowadays, in this fast and furious era, parents hardly sit with children and try to know what they are learning. Yet, homeschooling can let you do it even now. You would be completely taking care of and knowing what your child is learning and whether that is proper for his age or not. Interestingly, the natural lessons that you come across in day to day life can be even used to enlighten your kid and make him, even more, smarter and realistic.
Quality Time Between Parents and Kids:
We all love our children very much. Isn’t it? Still, how much time do we spend with them? You might have ignored this fact over the time, but it is actually hampering the relationship with your kids. If we don’t give them time, they end up feeling lonely which is not at all good for their mental health.
On the contrary, homeschooling allows you to get rid of this problem. Your kid will be more connected to you, as you will be around him, introducing him to the new things in life every now and then.
Although those cuddles at the sofa while listening to the rhyme videos and the kitchen-cum-lab episodes will soon become a past, still, the memories will be engraved in your and your kid’s heart forever.
Have a happy parenting!
